I don’t know what happened to my gorgeous front lawn. It was pretty green just a few days ago, but now? Even the pup seemed concerned at how quickly the brown patches popped up out there:
It’s raining really hard out there today, so hopefully that will help reinvigorate things. We’re not the only ones with lawns turning brown, though. Most of the neighborhood is having the same problem apparently. The people across the street have almost zero green in their lawn if you look closely!
Both neighbors across the street are having this issue, actually. Idaho grass is very sensitive and prefers to be under ten feet of snow, apparently. Then again, so does my Husky pup (har har)!
We have automatic sprinklers and they have been running every day and my flowers are thriving, thankfully, but the hubby thinks I may have mowed the grass too short a few days ago, just before the temperatures hit into the 80’s.
He’s probably right. He usually is.
He says it will bounce back quickly with lots of TLC. I’m sure it will.
In the meantime, I am working on filling in the lovely green grass (and everything else) on my latest cross stitch sampler:
I can’t wait to get it finished so I can move on to number four (woo!). I need at least twenty of them for my sampler wall collage I’m working on for the sewing room and at the rate I’m going it might take a while. It’s very tedious (but rewarding!) work.
Anyhow, hopefully the grass outside will be green again long before I’m finished with the grassy hill on this one. Maybe I should add some brown spots to make it more authentic?
