The other day while I was on Craigslist (not looking for antiques.. honest!) I found this adorable vintage hand-crank ice cream maker to go with my antique No. 2 Star butter churn:
I don’t know exactly how old it is, but it’s probably from around the turn of the last century. It’s much bigger than I expected and can hold a whopping 10 quarts! Of ice cream I can’t have (boo!).
The patina is gorgeous and it’s got a missing metal ring with a bit of wear, which gives it more character. It supposedly still works. Either way, I really love it.
The best part, though? It was just $40!
I know! I could hardly pass it up at that price! It’s a nice little addition to the antique decor and it’s definitely my new favorite old thing.
